Questions
Ask structured questions on a board and get durable answers.
Questions come to you
When a working session needs your call — "which layout?", "cut scope or slip the date?" — it asks on the board, optionally tied to the card it is about, each option carrying its stakes. You answer in the board's Questions panel, docked beside the canvas: every open question in an outline, the active one expanded in place with its option pills, and ⌖ to find the decision on the board. The panel folds to a strip of marks; on a phone the questions page as a sheet. You answer by clicking, from any browser, whenever you get to it. No terminal, no chat scrollback to dig through.
A brainstorm board opens in the brainstorm studio instead — the same questions and the same release, laid out as a document you decide in.
- Multiple choice, honestly — questions can be single- or multi-select, and every one carries an "Other" write-in escape. You are never hard-blocked into the offered options.
- A note rider — attach a sentence to your pick when the option alone does not say enough.
Clicking is composing, Send is committing
Picks stage on the board — nothing reaches the agent per click. You work through a batch of questions at your own pace and change your mind freely; ↑ in a note moves you on to the next question. The last question's ↑ send N releases the whole batch: it lands in the listening session together, so the agent reasons over your answers as a set instead of reacting to each click.
↻ Regenerate, beside it, sends the batch with a stronger signal: your answers changed the direction, so the agent should withdraw its stale open questions and compose a fresh frontier instead of continuing down the old one. It releases after a short undo window.
The durable record
Questions and answers remain on the board after delivery, together with notes, authors and submission status. If no agent is listening, one can read the answers later. Retracted questions remain marked in the history.
Asking back
An answer is not always obvious from the option labels. An ask-AI request on any question has the agent stream a focused explanation back onto the board — the context, what the code says, the tradeoffs — live, while you watch. Then you pick.
Every open brainstorm in one place
Agents run brainstorms in parallel across projects, and each one stops until a person answers. Brainstorms, a row of the Boards module (/brainstorms), is the inbox for those decisions: every brainstorm grouped by attention — Waiting for you, A session is on it, Decided — each row with its progress, stage and who is on it right now. Open, All and Mine narrow the list, and a row opens that brainstorm's studio.
