Regular and dev mode
Two faces of one app — a calm one with Inbox, Sprints and Tasks that everyone starts in, and the whole engine one shortcut away.
Two faces, one preference
vitrinka has two display modes, and the one you see is your own account preference: it follows you across browsers and never changes what anyone else sees. Everyone starts in regular mode, the workspace owner included. Dev mode is the whole engine — Home and Mission control, the agents' queues, Calendar, Brainstorms, the Library, QA and World.
Both modes show the same data under the same permissions; only the surface changes.
Regular mode
The bar reads Inbox · Sprints · Tasks · Boards · Docs. There is no Home: the workspace opens on the Inbox.
| Link | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Inbox | Every report people sent, in one list beside the picked one — the Inbox. |
| Sprints | One project's sprint — the active one unless you pick another — as a list grouped Planned · In progress · In review · Done, each group folding away with its count beside it. Columns shows the same tasks as four lanes; the choice is remembered on this device. |
| Tasks | The project's open tasks, grouped the same way. |
| Boards | The board list, as in dev mode. |
| Docs | The workspace's documents, as in dev mode. |
Sprints and Tasks each carry their own project pick. Human surfaces say Sprint; the API, the CLI and the agents' tools keep their own words.
A task reads as a story. In regular mode a task's address opens top to bottom: its title; one quiet row with every property — status, assignee, priority, category, sprint, labels — each still editable; the steps Received · Planned · In progress · Fixed · Done with the current one marked; the before and after — the places a reporter marked and the picture the fix attached; the reporter's words; and the activity. It is built from the task's own record, never an AI summary. Dev mode keeps the full task panel at the same address.
Dev mode
The bar reads Home · Inbox · Calendar · Boards · Docs · Brainstorms · Library · QA · World — the full app Finding your way around describes, with the Inbox right after Home.
Needs you moved. The agents' decision queue — the gates and decisions waiting on a person — lives at /decisions now, reached from Home. Old links to it land there. The Inbox holds human reports only.
Switching
⌃⌥Danywhere, except while you type in a field.- ⌘K, then Dev mode or Regular mode — the command is named for the mode it switches to.
- Settings → Preferences → Display, under display mode.
A switch saves and reloads. The server paints the new bar in the very first frame, so nothing flickers on the way. The account menu's Build diagnostics — once also called Dev mode — is a different switch, for build details.
People outside the team never see either mode: they follow their reports on the reporter portal.
